Bourton-on-the-Water

Half past six on a summer morning, and the High Street bridge has Bourton almost to itself — one of five that cross the Windrush in the village centre. The oldest was built in 1654; in a few hours this footbridge will be busy with visitors crossing between the shops and the green.
