The first heavy snowfall of the winter buries Labour Park — willows bowed white over the frozen lake, the arched stone bridge iced, fresh snow starring the ice below. Laid out in 1925 in the city's coal-mining era, the park has been Fushun's green heart for a century. Photographed in the winter of 2005–06, a companion piece to the Fushun barber's stall.
